The Karnataka Real Estate Regulatory Authority on June 19, 2026, notified regarding the Submission of the Annual Audit Report for the financial year 2025-26.
The following has been stated:
• It has directed all promoters registered under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, to obtain and submit the Form-7 Annual Audit Report for the financial year 2025-26. In accordance with the third proviso to Section 4(2)(l)(D) of the Act, promoters are required to have their project accounts audited by a practicing Chartered Accountant, who shall certify that the funds collected for the project have been utilized solely for that project and that withdrawals are proportionate to the project's completion status.
• It has introduced a separate online module on its portal for submission of Form-7, where promoters shall upload the audit report along with annual audited financial statements, including the Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet with schedules, Cash Flow Statement, Income Tax Returns, and Auditor’s Report for the year ended March 31, 2026.
• The prescribed documents shall be submitted on or before November 15, 2026. Failure to file the Annual Audit Report within the stipulated timeline may attract penalties under Section 60 of the RERA Act, 2016.
